I posted this old desk on Facebook, asking what people thought my new use would be for it. My hubby brought this home from the bank we purchased for our future store, and it was in ok shape but MISSING LEGS!
I pushed it to the side of the shop and stacked other pieces on top of it. Until my pile started getting low and come upon this thing again. I didn’t really know what I was going to do with it. Or what sort of legs to put back on it.
However, if there’s one thing I’ve been loving to do to my furniture pieces lately, is adding feet! And my idea grew. I started sanding…
Not really knowing how the top was going to turn out due to water damage, I sanded the entire top down anyway.
A little glue, a little sanding, a little base, and a little legs and here comes the “After”.
What do ya think!? Pretty stinky pretty coffee table right!?
The top turned out surprisingly better than I thought. It looks like brand new wood up close.
I added a base with the trim to match the top and some pretty feet.
A little distressing and some hardware to copy the top.
Now onto another project!
