Eight years ago, my cousin was attacked. He was only 11 years old. How he was attacked will maybe surprise you. Maybe it won’t. But it will bring awareness to something that can be potentially dangerous, that others see as harmless. What? Animals. Wild animals as pets.
Sometimes, I find myself having a bad day. But I think of my cousin, Russell, and realize it could be so much worse. And at the same time, I find stories like his inspiring!! How? To read his story, to hear what he went through at only 11 years old, having his life completely change, and yet to hear him talk about it openly, is incredibly brave.
I want to share his story with you. He took the time to write out some things I’ve never even heard before today. And even though he doesn’t have much movement in his arms and hands, his passion to work on cars and learn about them is truly inspiring.
